The Friends of Town Farm Dairy Inc, began as a group of concerned citizens working toward preserving the operation of the Town Farm Dairy on land which was originally deeded to the Town of Simsbury as a poor farm by Amos Eno in 1883.

Monthly Director's meetings year round
Friends of Town Farm Dairy will:
Manage the Town Farm property
Promote local food sources
Reestablish Amos Eno's mission to provide for the poor
Provide internship opportunities for UConn students
Involve local schoolchildren in farm-related activities
Provide workshops in dairying, organic farming, and cheesemaking
Help to preserve and maintain the historic barns on the property
Work in conjunction with Simsbury's Social Services
Use environmentally sound farming practices
Participate in Simsbury's Cheese Day
Daily operation of the dairy farm will be under the direction of a Farm Manager and staff.
We have the official support of the Town of Simsbury for our mission.
The Friends of Town Farm Dairy is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Donations to The Friends of Town Farm Dairy are deductible to the extent permitted by law
Although we already have a large base of support with a mailing list of about 400 people who have expressed a desire to help keep Town Farm as a dairy, we are always looking for more support! Please consider joining us and becoming a Friend of Town Farm Dairy.
